Fundado en 2000 por John Ralston Saul, el Instituto para la Ciudadanía Canadiense (ICC) y el simposio LaFontaine-Baldwin es un evento nacional que explora la ciudadanía, pertenencia y el bien público con los principales pensadores canadienses e internacionales. Desafía a la audiencia a pensar en cuadro grande de Canadá, invitándoles a añadir su voz con conferencias y mesas redondas con los fundadores, altavoces y los copresidentes del ICC, John Ralston Saul y la Muy Honorable Adrienne Clarkson. Una vez más, el ICC se ha asociado con el Festival Stratford para presentar el Simposio LaFontaine-Baldwin con Robert Lepage, creador de vanguardia y galardonado con el Premio Glenn Gould.   • Founded in 1907, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) represents architects and architecture across the country.   • On March 11, 1848, Louis-Hippolyte LaFontaine and Robert Baldwin were asked by Governor General Lord Elgin to form a government because they had the confidence of the House of Commons. This first Canadian democratic government put in place official bilingualism, advanced public education and laid the foundations of our contemporary immigration and citizenship policies.
